We – the RDM Support team of the UB – invite you to take part in the Data Horror Week 2021. During this week, we use the topic of Halloween to create a safe environment to talk about things that don’t go great, about setbacks and failures. Our academic horror stories are rarely talked about. Pity, because these stories can teach us a lot about responsible research practices, good data management and research reproducibility 👻
Would you like to join us? There are several ways to take part:
- Play along with the online Open Science Escape Room on October 25th, 15:30 – 17:00 🎃
- Come to the Data Conversations meeting on October 28th, 15:00-17:00. We will talk about the research integrity, responsible research practices, and reproducibility. This is a hybrid event; you can join in person either in Leiden or in Amsterdam or online from any place in the world. For those joining in person, there will be drinks afterwards 🍻
- We are working on a new collection of Data Horror Stories. You can (anonymously) share your own story with the Dutch academic community.
We look forward to celebrating the Data Horror Week together with you!
